Arctic Weather conditions to hit the UK

The UK is bracing itself for another spout of freezing weather conditions. Snow is expected to fall in most parts of the Country, including the Scotland the Midlands and as far down as Cornwall.

Icy roads are expected to cause problems initially but Sky News weather presenter Isobel Lang has warned there could be up to 20cm (8in) of snow. The big freeze will start today and continue over the weekend with snow hitting most of the UK. Rail services, Airports and especially recovery breakdown services are preparing for wide disruption.

Julian Mayes from MeteoGroup said: “Night-time temperatures will fall to -5C in southern England and -10C in Scotland. Quite a few places may be starting below -10C.

The Met Office has issued severe weather warnings for icy roads across Scotland, the North West and the North East, and heavy snow for almost all of the UK.

Christmas is just around the corner and the severe arctic conditions is expected to cause widespread chaos for travellers hoping to get away for the festive season. With most business having probably the busiest weekend of the year with all the xmas parties Coventry limos will still be operating as usual for filling all our limo hire bookings. Disappointment As Englands Bid Failed To Host The World Cup In 2018

Huge disappointment as Englands bid has failed to host the world cup in 2018. Here in the Midlands  dreams have been totally shattered, Birmingham and Nottingham were to host world cup games. Strong winds and snow are expected anywhere south of a line from North Wales to the Wash, bitter, evil wind chill wil prevail, Strong winds are expected with snow showers  sweeping westwards Mon night into Tues and Weds  all parts of  West Midlands  and East  Midlands should expect to get snow Tuesday. April 29th 2011 Set For The Wedding Of Prince William And Kate Middleton

Finally Prince William and Kate Middleton have named the day of their Royal Wedding, which will take place at Westminster Abbey St James’s palace announced today.  To mark the couples special  day Downing Street has declared it will be an official bank holiday. Computer System Crashes for Take That Tickets

Record demand for Take That tickets have crashed the computer system, Ticketmaster have released this statement.

Due to totally unprecedented demand all ticket agents across the UK, including  Ticketmaster, are struggling to cope with the sheer volume of people logging on to try and buy Take That tickets. The knock-on effect is also creating problems for the UK telephone network, it’s been confirmed that it’s also straining to cope and that call volume is at least twice that of the Michael Jackson on sale last March. We are working to resolve the issues and we are confident that fans will be able to purchase tickets and we ask that they keep trying.

Well it’s that time of year again, autumn has approached, the nights are drawing in  and the main thing on everyone’s mind  is yes you’ve guessed it Christmas. And of course, the one and only Lenny Henry is the Master of Ceremonies, Lenny Henry continues to make us laugh with his fantastic humour.

Musically, it will defiantly be a night to remember with exceptional acts this year. The beautiful, soulful, powerhouse, outstanding Beverley Knight our very own souls singer born Wolverhampton, West Midlands will grace the stage, It¹s been quite a ride for Beverley since those early days. Try one platinum and 4 gold album, 3 MOBO awards, Brit and Mercury nomination and an MBE for starters. And that’s before you get to shared stages with the likes of Prince (Beverley performed with him on several of his sell out 21 Nights dates), performances for the likes of Nelson Mandela and Quincy Jones, and racking up 14 Top 40 hits proving commercial longevity and British black music needed be mutually exclusiv terms. By the time of 2006’s platinum-shifting ‘Voice – The Best of Beverley Knight’ she had won over thousands of new fans touring with Take That on their comeback arena tour (she more than filled Lulu’s shoes) and appeared (somewhat reluctantly) on hit BBC sing-off show Just The Two of Us.  Also in the line up the brilliant Björn Again, performing the greatest hits of Abba. Bjorn again was created and founded in 1988 in Melbourne, Australia by Director and Musician Rod Stephen. His show, whilst not labelled a copy or tribute band, is seen as a satirical parody of ABBA which has achieved worldwide cult status. With the smash hit film ‘Mamma Mia!’ proving that ABBA’s music is as popular as ever, Bjorn Again presents a trip to the Theatre you’ll never forget . Featuring ABBA’s greatest hits and. And yes it’s true the legendry Mr Rolf Harris, remember the song that could make your hair stand up on end “Two little Boys”.  The wonderfully talented Adrian Edmondson and The Bad Shepherds, with their unique notion of playing oddball songs on folk instruments, so yes, there’s a significant possibility you’ll hear Sex Pistols played on a mandolin. Check them out on You Tube – it’s amazingly clever. And, to bring in the Christmas cheer, we’ve got once again our Midlands band Slade singing Merry Christmas and all I need to say is… IT’S CHRISTMAS!!!
