F1: Red Bulls Mark Hails RB6 ‘limousine’

After suffering a broken leg which had Red Bull’s Mark Webber very distressed last season, this year he is fully fit and thrilled about the the makings of the team’s latest car, Sky Sports has reported.
“This car is a limousine,” joked Webber ahead of the start of Formula One’s second official testing session in Jerez on Wednesday.
“We had only small aerodynamic changes so we didn’t go crazy.
“It shows how clever Adrian Newey is that a lot of people copied our car (last year).”
Coming second in the Constructors’ Championship last year, Red Bull are hoping to excel their performance in 2010 with the Adrian Newey-designed RB6.
Having a new “shark-fin” engine cover makes the RB6 more prominent while a ban on refuelling during races this year means all cars are longer than before to accommodate bigger fuel tanks.
Red Bull missed the first testing in Valencia last week as they wanted an extension to allow more time to work on it resulting in Red Bull being the final of the existing teams to take the covers off their 2010 car.
“Basically we felt there was more to be gained off the track,” said team principal Christian Horner.
“We set ourselves aggressive targets. We kept our heads down over the winter.
“We kept working on our concepts and Adrian has come up with a new, very good car.
The new car unveiled and debuted at Jerez on Wednesday morning is an “evolution” of its successful 2009 predecessor”I think there are four race-winning teams: McLaren, Ferrari, Michael Schumacher is running for Mercedes and us,” added Horner, who had considered switching to a Mercedes engine before sticking with Renault.
The Red Bull idol will test the RB6 in Jerez on Wednesday and Thursday prior to his team-mate Sebastian Vettel. Vettel, still just 22 but tipped by Bernie Ecclestone and others as the 2010 championship favourite, runner up to Jenson Button in last year’s Drivers’ Championship, takes over on Friday and Saturday
